The Land Trust of Napa County is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to preserving the character of Napa County by permanently protecting land. In its 45-year history, LTNC has completed over 230 projects and protected more than 86,000 acres. The Land Trust offices are located just outside of downtown Napa. Our team consists of motivated and passionate individuals who care deeply about our mission and enjoy working together.

The Monitoring Assistant is an entry-level position within the Land Trust of Napa County’s Lands Department, designed to assist in on-going land protection activities within the organization. This job provides a nuts-and-bolts learning opportunity to develop the skills and experience needed by conservation professionals. This position will actively facilitate communication and relationship building with easement landowners and monitoring volunteers, so the ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills and a friendly nature. The Monitoring Assistant works within the monitoring program on annual compliance monitoring for existing protected properties (80%) and new land acquisitions (20%). The Monitoring Assistant also works on general volunteer coordination for the monitoring program.

The Monitoring Assistant reports to the Land Programs Manager.
