Founded in 2006
Mission Statement: Mojave Desert Land Trust (MDLT) was formed in 2006 to address growing concern over the development that threatens the fragile ecosystems and biodiversity of the California desert. MDLT's mission is to protect the Mojave Desert ecosystems and its scenic and cultural resource values. We accomplish our mission through land acquisition, land stewardship, collaboration with agencies and conservation partners and educational outreach.
Areas Covered: Inyo, San Bernardino, Kern, Riverside, Imperial & San Diego Counties.
Protected: 94,516 fee title acres and 6,812 conservation easement acres
