Anza-Borrego Foundation

Founded in 1967

Mission Statement: Anza-Borrego Foundation’s mission is to protect and preserve the natural landscapes, wildlife habitat, and cultural heritage of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park® for the benefit and enjoyment of present and future generations.

Anza-Borrego Foundation is the official nonprofit partner of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and provides financial support for Park programs, acquires land for conservation in and around the Park, educates the public about the Park’s resources and supports research relevant to the region. Since 1967, ABF has acquired more than 55,000 acres of inholdings and other properties to add to the Park.

Areas Covered: Riverside, Imperial and San Diego County.

Protected: 55,000 fee title acres and 440 conservation easement acres
