Environmental Scientist – California Wildlife Conservation Board

The Wildlife Conservation Board (WCB) is a small agency dedicated to protecting and restoring natural resources for wildlife and for the public. WCB envisions a future where wildlife, biodiversity and wild places are effectively conserved for the benefit of present and future populations. WCB offers a face-paced and nimble working environment where we work closely with partners throughout the state to implement important conservation actions.

WCB is also looking for two Environmental Scientists to help develop and manage projects that promote WCB’s Strategic Goals. Project management responsibilities include: project consultation with federal, state and local partners, development and review of funding and grant proposals, negotiation of terms and conditions for project agreements, contract and grant administration, planning, design review, and implementation oversight. Projects may include habitat restoration or wildlife-oriented public access projects. The Environmental Scientist will also participate as a member of the Development and Restoration Team by reviewing proposals and managing projects under the WCB’s other Restoration and Development programs. Open until filled.
