Director of Stewardship and Restoration – Save the Redwoods League

Save the Redwoods League is seeking a Director of Stewardship and Restoration to oversee the League’s restoration and held land and conservation easement stewardship program. This includes stewardship, restoration, forestry and general natural resource management on the League’s held lands and in partnership with public agency managers on public lands.

As our Director of Stewardship and Restoration, you are the forestry analyst in the League’s Conservation Programs department. You are responsible for analyzing and synthesizing trends in restoration forestry science, forestry policy and regulation, forest economics, the carbon market, and voluntary sustainable forestry certification. You will recommend and collaboratively implement adaptable redwood forest conservation and management strategies that will protect and enhance coast redwood and giant sequoia ecosystem values on League projects.
