Community Engagement Intern – Peninsula Open Space Trust

Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) is offering a flexible (24-32 hours a week) internship opportunity in support of POST’s Community Engagement programs. These include in person and virtual public events, event communications and coordination and similar efforts for POST’s Ambassador and Volunteer teams. This support may consist of research projects, database organization, assistance with event planning and execution, and other projects as requested. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Community Engagement.

This is a terrific opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector with a nationally-recognized land conservation organization. The Community Engagement Intern will leave POST with an excellent exposure to local land conservation efforts as well as hands on experience with the programs and practices related to inbound marketing/demand generation, social marketing, event coordination, land stewardship and volunteer coordination. They will also acquire knowledge of technical tools such as Salesforce, marketing and email automation systems, cloud-based media platform and web content management tools.
