The California Council of Land Trusts acts as a unified voice for more than 150 land trusts working in local communities throughout California. Together, land trusts share a common vision for protecting the best of California -- natural areas, farmlands, parks, and clean water and air.

    The California Council of Land Trusts is pleased to announce the release of "Land Conservation in Southern California: An Essential Investment in Our Future".  It focuses on the public benefits of conservation to southern California communities and the need for greater investment in conservation -- as demonstrated through profiles of land trusts' work in the region.  This is the first in a series entitled "Saving the California Dream" that will examine each region of the state.  Many thanks to the land trusts who assisted us in this effort.

    CCLT Publishes 2008 Policy Report

    CCLT is pleased to present "Conservation Policy 2008: Land Trusts Succeed in Sacramento".  It provides a synopsis of the bills important to land trusts and public agency partners during the 2008 legislative session.  It includes bills that were defeated but could return.  More importantly, it provides insight into new laws that provide the framework for new funding and promote, enhance and support the core conservation principles of California's conservation community.
